We have been fighting COVID-19 for more than a year now and there are still so many things that we don’t know about the virus. The CDC released a report saying that some COVID-19 vaccine reactions, including fainting, dizziness and nausea, were due to anxiety—and not the shots themselves.
Out of 8,624 people who received the Johnson & Johnson dose from April 7 to 9 at five mass vaccination sites, 64 experienced anxiety-related reactions. Most of the symptoms resolved with first aid, while 20% of patients were sent to the hospital for further evaluation. Four of the sites temporarily suspended vaccination to investigate the reactions.
New scientific discoveries are being rolled out almost daily and it’s important to keep abreast of the latest developments of the said virus. Join JenTex Continuing Education for a live webinar that will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on anxiety. We will discuss the latest discoveries, statistics, types of anxiety, and stress reduction strategies that are relevant to people’s needs during a pandemic.
