8 Ways to Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! Teachers have gone above and beyond to ensure that children continue their learning experience during the pandemic. From quarantine to school closures and virtual learning, teachers deserve a celebration for their hard work and dedication. Here are a few ways you can show teachers that you appreciate all they do!

1. Create a Photo Collage Message with Other Students and Families

Gather students and families to make a photo collage that thanks teachers in your life! Take your pictures, and put them together for your teacher or faculty!

2. Call Teachers on the Phone or Teams

The most simple yet impactful thing to do might just be to call teachers and say thank you.

3. Send a Digital or E-Card

There are several sites that you can use to send a digital card or video to your child’s teacher. Canva has amazing options to explore and send a heartfelt note. Hallmark also has premade options that you can purchase and send.

4. Write a Heartfelt Letter

Share memorable moments, ways they’ve impacted your life, something new you learned, or your favorite thing about being in their class. Your letter can mention anything you’d like.

5. Spread Kindness with Them in Mind

Take time to volunteer. Continue to practice social distancing protocols, but do something kind in honor of your teachers.

6. Send a Gift Card

Everyone appreciates a gift card! Send them a gift card from Netflix, Hulu or any of their favorite stores or restaurants.

7. Record a Personal Thank-You Video

Prerecord a video sharing how much your teacher means to you.

8. Record a Dance Video

Do some fun Tik Tok dances and incorporate things you’ve learned in class into the lyrics.
