Create a Community Garden in Your Neighborhood with PHS Harvest

Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) Harvest is back for another year of growing and sharing food crops from your very own gardening space to local food banks to help combat food insecurity in the greater Philadelphia Area.

Through Harvest 2020, PHS donated over 44,000 pounds of fresh produce to local food banks with the help of over 10,000 participants, and delivered 250,000 vegetable seedlings to 150 community gardening sites across the city of Philadelphia, along with other gardening supplies. This effort equated to hundreds of families able to have access to fresh, healthy food during the pandemic.

Food access is still a growing need in our region. Join PHS this year as they continue their efforts to share knowledge about growing produce and providing the resources needed for our communities to become more self-reliant. Gardeners at all experience levels are invited to grow and share their harvest with those most in need through this initiative.

Sign up for PHS Harvest as an individual or a group. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join your Growing Team, to track your collective impact, and for the opportunity to win team prizes.

Start your food garden with online education and other gardening resources from PHS.

PHS will help you find out where and how to donate. Be sure to use the Produce Donation Tracker to share your impact with the PHS Harvest community!

Whether you choose to garden or to make a financial contribution, PHS Harvest is only possible through generous contributions.
