Empowering Kinship Caregivers: A Back-to-School Gathering for Support and Strength

As summer winds down, many families begin preparing for the return to school, but for kinship caregivers, this season can bring unique challenges and emotions. That’s why A Second Chance, Inc. is inviting you to join our National Kinship Caregiver Support Group!

This free support group is more than just a meeting—it’s a space to connect, reflect, and gather tools that make a difference. Whether you’re managing school anxiety, navigating new routines, or just trying to maintain your own well-being, this session offers practical guidance and heartfelt community.

The group meets monthly on the second Tuesday and alternates between in-person and virtual formats to accommodate caregivers from Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Virginia. Each session is carefully themed—from emotional wellness and mindfulness to community advocacy and transitions.

We believe in shared journeys and shared strengths. Join us and let’s navigate this back-to-school season together—with compassion, courage, and care.
