Generations United Calling for Submissions to Virtual Conference

Proposals to present at the Generations United Virtual Intergenerational Conference are due on January 31, 2021.

Generations United’s Biennial Global Intergenerational Conference will look extremely different this year. The conference will be held virtually, however, it will still call on intergenerational educators, advocates, professionals, enthusiasts and caregivers from around the world to pursue, link and share refreshing practices and programs in the intergenerational field.

The pandemic has hindered intergenerational connections while also opening new opportunities for intergenerational engagement. This has placed an unparalleled extra strain on families where grandparents and other relatives are raising children.

The Generations United Virtual Intergenerational Conference will consider these real-life issues while inspecting the role of intergenerational practices in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. Everyone can join with one another in 2021 in rebuilding and redefining our communities and our field in social work.

Generations United is seeking proposals on cutting-edge intergenerational research, policies and practices that are relevant, informative and creative; represent the great diversity in our field; and showcase practices that support diversity, equity and inclusion.
