PEAL Center to Host Webinar Providing Pennsylvania Families Guidance for Students with IEPs in Upcoming School Year

Given the many uncertainties of COVID-19, the Arc of Pennsylvania and several other organizations are co-sponsoring an online webinar for families with students who will have or already have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to discuss concerns and the guidelines for the upcoming school year.

Carole Clancy, the director for the Bureau of Special Education at the Pennsylvania Department of Education, will speak on the guidance that will be provided to schools in regards to students who receive IEPs during this time including: COVID-19 Compensatory Services, instructional days/hours, masks at school, the evaluation/re-evaluation of students with IEPs and much more.

The virtual webinar will stream live from the PEAL Center’s Facebook page from noon to 1:30 p.m. on August 11, and will be recorded for those who cannot attend. Any questions can be submitted now. Click here for more information.
