Willette Walker has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wilberforce University, a juris doctor from Duquesne University and a master’s in the art of teaching social studies from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds a “professional in human resources” certification.

After teaching high-school for nearly eight years, Walker returned to A Second Chance, Inc., in 2011 to serve in her current capacity. She has been instrumental in the formation of cross-departmental teams to address agency-wide opportunities. It is important to note that Walker previously worked at the agency from 1996 to 2003, during which she progressed from caseworker to director of employee relations.

Walker’s other accomplishments include Sigma Omega Honor Society (1991); Who’s Who Among American College Students (1991, 1992); Homer S. Brown Legal Scholarship recipient (1992) at the University of Pittsburgh; Human Services Executive Academy Graduate (2000); A Second Chance Charitable Foundation former board member (2010-2011); and Chrysalis Project panelist (2013).
