Steven Gerun is the Director of General Services at A Second Chance, Inc., who works with all staff to maintain a safe a secure building, as well as the integrity of the institute while continuing to grow.
Gerun believes that, while most of the work General Services does is in the background, the department plays an integral part in helping our staff give meaning and hope to our families and the community.
Prior to joining ASCI in 2019, Gerun gained over 20 years of experience in the health care and nonprofit fields. He is trained in various project management courses, as well as certified active shooter training and other safety courses.
Gerun holds a master’s degree in biology from Duquesne University.
He continues working in this field because every day offers new challenges and keeps him from sitting behind a desk all day. It also offers him a great sense of fulfillment knowing he is helping others.
