Kathleen L. Gima

Sr. Director II, Content and Brand Management

Philadelphia Regional Office : (267) 606-3523

As part of the agency’s communications team, Kathleen Gima’s main goals are to produce the highest quality, most relevant content on kinship care and child welfare, as well as help the agency streamline its communications practices and strengthen and maintain its brand as the leader in the field for 25 years.

Prior to joining ASCI in 2018, Gima worked in print and online media as an editor and content manager. With more than 10 years of experience creating, refining and managing content, she operates with a meticulous eye and is driven by the “impossible” goal of perfection. She graduated magna cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in English.

Gima sees her employment with the agency as a full-circle opportunity, since her mother, along with her nine aunts and uncles, were brought up in the system. She grew up hearing story after story about how they’d struggled as children, only feeling whole again after several siblings were old enough to take in and care for the younger ones. That’s kinship care. Doing her part to help ASCI achieve the same thing for thousands of other families, is a joy she never thought she’d experience in her career.
