Philadelphia Regional Office: (215) 564-0790

Alexandria J. Thomas oversees the operation of Kinship Emergency Response, General Foster Care, Compliance, Certification, Permanency, Specialized Behavioral Health, Family Group Decision-Making and Family Finding programs.

Thomas started as a supervisor at ASCI in 2012 and steadily advanced from there. As a licensed social worker, Thomas practiced for more than 15 years, working with children in a variety of settings, including residential and treatment, kinship care, alternative schools and general foster care.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Rosemont College and her master’s degree in social services with a concentration in clinical social work from Bryn Mawr College.

Thomas is passionate about kinship care. She believes that children and families do better when they are able to be together. These connections, Thomas says, not only strengthen families, but also empower them to create positive experiences and opportunities for themselves.
