Permanency Services Caseworker

 

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field

 

Work Experience Requirements

Experience working directly with children and families in the areas of foster care and adoption.

Full time; Non Exempt

Qualifications

Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and inter-personal skills. Must demonstrate leadership tenants and the ability to work independently with children and families. Knowledge of Kinship Foster Care services and adoption preferred. Must possess excellent case management and client assessment skills. Must have the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other professionals and service providers.

 

Responsibilities
  • Work in ASCI Permanency Department ensuring that families are prepared for permanency, and knowledgeable of their permanency options.
  • Complete assessment on post permanency referrals received from Statewide Adoption Network (SWAN) utilizing assessment skills and the tools as presented by SWAN.
  • Case management of post permanency respite/support group referrals received from SWAN. Includes monthly visitation with respite providers, and the completion of required reports.
  • Conduct Child Preparation and Family Preparation Services in order to ensure preparation for permanency including the completion of Child and/or Family Profiles and the completion of required reports.
  • Participate on rotation to conduct Adoption Training.
  • Attendance at various meetings pertaining to permanency issues
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Requirements

• Registered and insured vehicle

• Certificate of Insurance of vehicle

• Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License

• Current Act 33 and 34 Clearances

• Available to work flexible schedule

• Work on-call hours
