Kinship Emergency Response Caseworker

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience in working directly with children in a child related field.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS
None.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must have excellent interpersonal skills; and must have the ability to work with persons from various ethnic backgrounds, with particular emphasis in working with families of African-American heritage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a full range of emergency/temporary foster care service to foster parents and children (which includes training, crisis intervention services, placement and monitoring, and transporting);
- Work on-call hours as directed;
- Interface with all providers for the purpose of planning meetings;
- Prepare quarterly progress reports and other reports that are required by DHS, DPW and this agency;
- Adhere to all other program and agency policies and procedures governing the objective of the agency and program; and
ALL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BASED ON ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS
This position requires a flexible work schedule to include evenings and weekends.
