Support Group Services

The support group’s services are designed to address the needs of the Kinship triad and community members. Peer and professional support is offered to help aid and educate families as they attempt to negotiate their ever-present issues.

ASCI currently offers the following support groups:

• Kinship Care Foster Parent Support Group (KinNet)
• Birth Parent Support Group
• Permanency Support Group
• Youth Support Group
• Men of Standard Support Group
• FAITH (Families Adjusting to the Incarcerated by Trials and Healing).

In addition to these services, the agency continually offers a 12-week Parenting Class utilizing the HOPE (Helping our Parents Effectively) curriculum. This curriculum was developed by ASCI specifically for this program. The parenting program is also offered on a continual basis to the men and women of the Allegheny County Jail.
