and Early Childhood Development


Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field required.  Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in community mental health and/or direct experience with children and families in either a job related or volunteer capacity.  Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication/writing skills.  Must have demonstrated leadership skills and qualities.   Must be familiar with the laws, regulations and professional standards governing mental health services; must possess the knowledge of kinship foster care programs and client/family services;  must have experience in crisis prevention and intervention services; must possesses the ability to work cooperatively with direct care staff of the Point-of-Contact Program and Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Office of Children, Youth & Families and Alliance for Infants; must be available to intervene in emergency situations, requires on-call rotation; must have experience in developing training curriculum for staff and foster parent enrichment; must have experience in working with families and staff of various ethnic backgrounds with primary focus on families of African American heritage.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative and Clinical Supervision for IHCS Clinical Specialists
  • IHCS Referral Approval and Assignment
  • Maintenance of IHCS Clinical Database.
  • IHCS Weekly and Monthly Staff Productivity Compilation and Reporting
  • All IHCS Administrative Oversight (i.e. Safety Assessments, Progress Notes, Treatment Plan Summaries, Treatment Plan Review Series, Discharges, etc.
  • CCC Coordination, and CCC Administrative Oversight
  • Field Instructor for Clinical Interns
  • Mandated to complete 8 IHCS Direct Service Hours per week
  • Administrative oversight and supervision for ECDI Staff and Supervisor
  • Maintenance of ECDI Database
  • ECDI Weekly and Monthly Staff Productivity Compilation and Reporting
  • Monthly ECDI Staff Case Assignments
  • Weekly Intake and Discharge Logs relevant to ECDI Eligible Cases
  • IHCS and ECDI Staff Trainings – Cross Trainings
  • All other related tasks as assigned
  • Reports directly to VP of TECD & IHCS.
